Nerds + Computers = Lan Party

We're just a bunch of long-time mates who’ve been meeting up once a year every single year, since 1999.

It all started in someone’s bedroom with a stack of CRT monitors, a tangle of Ethernet cables, and a dream: to spend a week doing absolutely nothing but playing games, eating junk food, and laughing until our faces hurt.
 

We call it the Royal Link Up. Back then, we were lugging towers around in the boot of a car, squeezing onto dial-up connections, and arguing about who took the last slice of pizza not much has changed, to be honest (except the rigs are heavier and the pizza disappears faster).

There’s something kind of magic about it. One week a year, we hit pause on real life jobs, responsibilities, all that and just reconnect over the games we grew up with. GoldenEye, Quake, StarCraft… the classics. Now it's a mix of old and new, but the vibe’s the same: good games, good mates, and a lot of questionable decisions at 3am.
 

Somehow, at the 25th Royal Link Up, our TikTok blew up, which we did not see coming and now we're sharing a bit of that nostalgia with the world.
